Mechanical Service Technician

An exciting opportunity exists for a proven Service Technician to join the elite maintenance facility at in Rydalmere. You will be the hands-on expert responsible for the overhaul, repair, and precision testing of critical rail components, ensuring every product meets the highest safety and performance standards.

You will be refurbishing and testing high-tech equipment—including air compressors, brake calipers, and pantographs—utilizing your mechanical expertise to keep Australia’s transport networks moving.

Location: Rydalmere, NSW. Easily accessible with onsite facilities.
Hourly Rate: $45.00 Per Hour + Penalty Rates + Super Shifts Available: Monday – Friday, early starts (5:00 am – 6:30 am) for a great work-life balance.
Status: Immediate Start – Ongoing position with a clear pathway to Permanency.

Apply if you have the following

• Trade Qualified: A Mechanical Trade certificate, Diploma in Engineering, or equivalent is essential.

• Proven Experience: At least 3 years in a workshop or engineering environment focusing on mechanical component repair and testing.

• Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems; experience with air compressors or Rollingstock/Light Automotive is highly regarded.

• Compliance Ready: Must hold a valid OH&S White Card and be able to pass a pre-employment medical (Drug & Alcohol) and Police Check.

• High Standards: A keen eye for detail when recording test outcomes and signing off on engineering documentation.
